About The Position

L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business. L&W Supply is looking for a success-driven Dispatch Coordinator to assist with customer product orders, scheduling deliveries and preparing delivery routes.

Requirements

Must be organized and possess strong phone and computer skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in stressful situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously

Nice To Haves

Bilingual speaking in Spanish/English is preferred, but not required
Previous dispatch experience is strongly preferred
Positive attitude and team player

Responsibilities

Coordinating deliveries with sales team and customers, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction
Working closely with warehouse personnel to ensure on-time delivery
Managing delivery equipment to ensure safe operations and compliance with all DOT and OSHA regulations
Making sure that trucks fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle
Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles
Resolving vehicle safety issues
Keeping customers informed of delivery status
