About The Position

Locke Supply Company of West Memphis, AR is seeking an outgoing and energetic Branch Associate to provide excellent customer service at our branch locations, offer advice and recommendations based on customers needs, and deliver products from our branches to the customer. This position is for someone who has excellent attention to detail and is mechanically-minded. Locke Supply Co. is a growing, employee-owned distributor for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC parts and equipment based in Oklahoma City. The company, founded in 1955, has grown to over 190 store locations in a 6-state area and a 100-acre distribution center. As a Branch Associate, you will learn and develop hands-on-training and skills in multiple trades, keeping the retail store clean and organized, tracking inventory, assisting with shipping and receiving, and preparing and overseeing jobs for the next day.

Requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be willing to pass a pre-employment physical examination
Must pass a D.O.T physical and drug test
Willingness to learn
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Mechanically-minded

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service at our branch locations
Offer advice and recommendations based on customers' needs
Deliver products from our branches to the customer
Offer product recommendations and find cost-effective solutions for their needs
Keep our retail store clean and organized
Track inventory
Assist with shipping and receiving
Fill orders and ensure that stock is ready for reorders
Prepare and oversee jobs for the next day, ensuring that equipment and supplies are ready to be loaded into the appropriate trucks
