JSI, an LSI Industries company, is trusted by North America’s leading grocery and retail brands to create innovative and eye-catching display fixtures and millwork. For more than 30 years, JSI has been designing and manufacturing its display fixtures across its four North American locations Summary: Operate Press Brakes and monitor parts and machine to assure that the parts are being produced to the specifications described when a set/up person assigned the task, as well as to monitor the function of the machine to be sure it functions as shown.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardize situations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk: use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to talk and or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety rules keeping all body parts out of any pinch points
  • Notifying the lead or set/up person of any changes observed while operating the press.
  • Inspect parts as shown and alert lead or set/up person if anything changes.
  • Keep track of the quantity of parts ran and the length of time on the work order as well as noting any mistakes (scrap).
