About The Position

The Bracing Tech is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients who need bracing, casting, and/or splinting. The Bracing Tech shall provide consultation, evaluation, treatment, and preventative care in accordance with the laws and regulations of the jurisdiction (s) in which they practice. The Bracing Tech participates in the organization and management of the physician’s practice.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, required
• Current CPR certification
• Continued training for Orthopedic casting and bracing, required
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regards to time management
• Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs
• Registered Orthopedic Technologist certification required within first year of employment.

Nice To Haves

• May be a graduate of an accredited Athletic Training Program, 4 year Bachelor or Master Program, and/or 4 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Technician, preferred
• Experience as an Orthopaedic Technician, or ATC, preferred
