About The Position

Responsible for successfully fulfilling the academic and physical training requirements of the Basic Peace Officer Course conducted by The University of Texas System Police Academy or an equivalent training academy within the State of Texas approved for enrollment by the Director of Police and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). UT Health is not offering sponsorship to attend the police academy for this role. We are seeking recent graduates who have already completed or are in the process of completing their law enforcement training. Please note: This position is part of our ongoing effort to build a talent pipeline for future opportunities. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• None required.

Responsibilities

• Complies with assignments and instructions of any instructors, members of the Academy staff or guest instructors while completing the Basic Peace Officer Course.
• Complies with policies of respective component institutions relating to his or her status and attendance at the Academy.
• Adheres to The University of Texas System Police Code of Conduct and to the Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System.
• Performs related duties as required.
