About The Position

Aug Prep is more than a school, it's a community where excellence, faith, and holistic education come together. We’re not only about high standards but also creating a place where people love to grow, learn, and inspire. We currently serve over 2,300 K4-12 students and are preparing to launch our North Campus, building a strong foundation for athletics and student life. In this Role, you will serve as the leader of the Girls basketball program, responsible for building a Christ-centered, competitive, and development-focused team culture. This role plays a critical part in shaping student-athletes in character, faith, and skill while establishing a strong foundation for the North Campus athletic program.

Requirements

  • A deep belief in the ability of every child and commitment to excellence

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and lead with integrity
  • Experience in coaching basketball (3+ years preferred)
  • Active participation in a local church
  • Team player with a service mindset and high character

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • CPR and AED certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a Christ-centered basketball program aligned to Aug Prep’s mission and values
  • Model servant leadership through humility, encouragement, and integrity
  • Develop a year-round vision including in-season and off-season programming, training, and team culture
  • Lead all practices, games, and team functions with structure and purpose
  • Create a positive, disciplined, and growth-oriented team environment
  • Plan and implement comprehensive training focused on skill development, team tactics, conditioning, and mental toughness
  • Teach fundamental and advanced basketball skills with attention to individual athlete growth
  • Support holistic athlete development including leadership, accountability, and resilience
  • Collaborate with strength and conditioning staff as needed
  • Build strong relationships with student-athletes, families, staff, and the broader school community
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with all stakeholders
  • Establish team expectations that reflect integrity, perseverance, courage, and respect
  • Create team-building opportunities that reinforce culture and unity
  • Ensure all athletes meet academic, behavioral, and eligibility standards
  • Maintain compliance with WIAA, conference, and school policies
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Department on scheduling, transportation, and facilities
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, and inventory responsibly
