About The Position

The Newton Theatre is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to manage day-to-day box office and ticketing operations. This is a hands-on position focused on building shows, selling tickets, and ensuring accurate box office operations, while providing excellent customer service to our patrons.

Requirements

  • Experience with ticketing systems preferred (ShowClix or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with the public
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

  • Has box office or customer service experience
  • Enjoys working with people and solving problems
  • Is dependable and organized
  • Can work independently and follow through

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage events in ticketing software
  • Sell tickets over the phone and assist customers with purchases
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service to all patrons
  • Schedule and oversee part-time box office staff
  • Handle refunds and ticket exchanges
  • Manage chargebacks and related issues
  • Reconcile box office cash drawers at end of day
  • Maintain accurate ticketing records and transactions
