About The Position

Under minimal supervision, the Boutique Retail Associate serves as a store key holder, responsible for opening and closing procedures. The Associate performs inventory management duties, cashier duties, visual merchandising, and a variety of backhouse retail service duties. The Associate may assist in ordering supplies, small categories of standard products, and receiving new merchandise. Prepares deposits and a variety of reports as directed by the Boutique Manager.

Requirements

  • Some college preferred; a combination of education and relevant job experience will be considered
  • At least 2 years’ retail experience, including inventory management
  • Knowledge of basic cash register, point of sale functions and computer programs (i.e. Excel)
  • Skill in written and oral communication
  • Strong computer skills with ability to generate reports
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to train volunteers
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, stooping and stretching
  • Ability to walk and stand during much of the day

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service with special attention to clients with health challenges that affect their appearance and overall wellbeing.
  • Works with Oncology Support Services as needed to address patient needs.
  • Accurately performs cashier functions, including ringing up sales, and transmitting charges.
  • Reconciles daily receipts and prepares bank deposits.
  • Assist patients and clients with wig consultations and special orders based on wig selections.
  • Schedules appointments for the salon services.
  • Assists the Boutique Manager with visual merchandising through creative displays and regular rotation of inventory.
  • Ensures the sales floor is fully stocked and is appealing to customers.
  • Performs a variety of retail duties including answering the telephone, merchandise restocking, deliveries, and maintaining a neat and clean shop.
  • Assists management with loss prevention efforts and contacts Security as appropriate.
  • Assists in ordering supplies, placing stock re-orders and other merchandise as directed by the Manager.
  • Assists in receiving and marking new merchandise.
  • Ensures the merchandise storage areas are neat and organized.
  • As a Key Holder, is responsible for opening/closing procedures and set up of store as requested.
  • Assists in the supervision of volunteers and flexes schedule to business needs as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
