About The Position

Ponte Vineyard Inn is a Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel located next to Ponte Winery surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country. We have become the benchmark for great service among Temecula wineries. Our associates are dedicated to delighting guests by providing excellent hospitality and serving great wine and food in a beautiful environment. The Bouquet Server will provide courteous, timely and professional service in the restaurant, show complete knowledge of all menus and pricing, as well as proactive, customer-oriented attitude.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers Card is required.
  • Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2 years Food Serving experience
  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Must have excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a tray weighing up to 40 lbs. through a busy dining area.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner informing them of daily specials and answering questions regarding menu items.
  • Knowledgeable of all menu items and pricing.
  • Must understand and adhere to basic dining room service procedures.
  • Efficiently take and deliver food and beverage orders from guests, input into the POS system, and ensure timely and consistent service of orders.
  • Pre bus tables between courses.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform side work at the end of the shift.
  • Process guest payments in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy of guest check.
  • Be willing to assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed.
  • Maintains friendly, polite, and appropriate behavior (such as posture, eye contact, smile, etc.) throughout the whole interaction with the guests.
  • Makes management aware of all issues in regards to malfunctioning equipment, and/or damaged furnishings in the restaurant.
  • Thank the guests for coming and invite them to return.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.
