What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For This is a Part-time position currently funded at .8 FTE (approximately 1,664 hours per year) Under the general direction of bookstore management, ensures the smooth operation of a campus bookstore daily operations, supervises staff, handles customer service, and assists with inventory and merchandising. Key duties include overseeing cash register functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and coordinating special projects like buy-back events or e-commerce order fulfillment. They are also responsible for training, scheduling, and directing other staff, particularly student workers. responsible for keeping stock on hand and merchandising the retail floor. Job requires patience in communication and well-developed verbal skills to exchange information with a variety of individuals which include college faculty, staff, students and vendors. Incumbent is the key person to whom complaints and policy issues are initially referred; therefore, they must be able to use effective communication skills to defuse anger and establish and/or restore harmony. Responds to work situations with minimum guidance or direction and is responsible for training and guiding others
