About The Position

The Bookkeeper is responsible for processing invoices received for payment and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This role requires a keen attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal departments and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, and purchase orders
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with certified payroll
  • 4+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Working experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of certified payroll reporting

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts on a regular basis.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and organized manner.
  • Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly financial reports as needed.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasting tasks.
  • Prepare and review certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with prevailing wage and labor requirements.
  • Verify employee hours, classifications, and wage rates for accuracy.
  • Submit certified payroll documentation to the appropriate agencies or project authorities by required deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping for all payroll-related data.
