About The Position

MCV Law is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide full‑time, temporary coverage during a planned medical leave. This position will support the Director of Operations in managing day‑to‑day accounting and operational functions in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented law firm. Assignment Details Duration: Approximately June 15 through August 14 (6–8 weeks) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Location: In‑office, Syracuse, NY

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a service‑related or professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong technical aptitude; advanced IT skills a plus
  • High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • HR or payroll-related experience is preferred but not required
