About The Position

The Bookkeeper at Harbor Compliance ensures timely and accurate transactions within the accounting system. This role drives the AR and AP functions. Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills, process improvement experience, and fluency in English are preferred for managing client billing inquiries and cross-functional collaboration. Preference will be given to English and French-speaking candidate, but French is not required.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Access Database
  • Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Desire to learn and work within a team environment
  • Commitment to operational excellence through the regular creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Fluent in English and French (Preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Account receivable responsibilities include, but are not limited to invoicing clients and applying payments accurately.
  • Replying to customers’ inquiries in French or English as related to billing. French translator tool will be made available for non-French-speaking candidates.
  • Coordinating with the internal team to make sure work billed and paid for is performed timely.
  • Updating the appropriate tracker documents timely and accurately.
  • Account Payable: Enter A/P invoices into the accounting system and ensure payments are made on time and accurately.
  • Implement at least two measurable process improvements every six months to enhance automation, standardization, and reporting speed.
