About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist AP/AR to support the Finance Department of a growing hospitality group operating multiple restaurant locations. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper reconciliations, and supporting operational decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of accounting experience
- Bilingual (English-Spanish)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory platforms
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of GAAP
Nice To Haves
- Experience with payroll systems (Paycom, ADP) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily sales from POS systems (Toast, Aloha, etc.)
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice verification and matching to POs and receipts
- Perform bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations
- Support payroll entries and accruals
- Review, code, and post expense invoices accurately to the general ledger
- Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting (P&L, sales, variance reports)
