About The Position
We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the general manager to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. 1-Tom-Plumber is a 24/7/365 emergency service commercial focused plumbing franchise that bolts onto water restoration companies. We are seeking customer service oriented team members, who appreciate a family atmosphere! Regardless of your level of experience, you must be ready to constantly learn and better yourself. This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchise, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this franchise. Requirements
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Complete required tax forms
