About The Position

Perfect Settings, LLC is looking for an energetic, detail oriented and well-organized professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper/ Accounting Assistant. We specialize in renting tables, chairs, china, linens, dance floors, etc. for weddings and special events. The Accounting Assistant will support the Accounting department by performing daily bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, QuickBooks and month/year-end closes and able to work well collaboratively. This position offers flexible hours for work-life balance and is available immediately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks software
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain accounting database with data entry (A/P and A/R)
  • Review, code and record vendor bills and expenses for proper allocation
  • Record monthly accruals, fixed assets depreciation and amortization of prepaid expenses
  • Process invoices and cash receipts in a timely manner
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules for accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaids, etc.
  • Monitor overdue payments and follow up on collections
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports, month-end closes and annual audit process
  • Coordinate with sales teams to confirm order fulfillment and resolve discrepancies
  • Keep sensitive information confidential
  • Comply with all federal, state and local requirements/laws
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned
