Job Summary: Carry out various administrative and technical duties in the unit which include handling all aspects of scheduling, finalizing unit appointments, typing letters and reports, uploading reports online as well as replacing the Technician when needed. Perform a variety of cashiering duties including issuing receipts for cash base services and verifying coverage of all cleared services rendered. Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that of the Department.

Requirements

  • TS Degree in Nursing, Radiology or related field.
  • 3-5 years of similar experience in a health care setting.
  • Arabic and English (IET score >/= 450).
  • Proficient in all common computer software such as Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Nice To Haves

  • French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and confirm them by phone the day before.
  • Greet patients and visitors professionally when checking in the unit.
  • Answer phone calls directed to unit.
  • Maintain the Director's calendar to coordinate workflow and meetings.
  • Perform a variety of cashiering duties including issuing receipts for cash base services and verifying coverage of all cleared services rendered as well as perform daily closing as per cash control lists and reconcile cash to booked receipts and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare the monthly unit statistics and keep track of clinical and research scans.
  • Type patients' reports and upload them into the system as well as transcribe clinic dictations for the Director and perform electronic file transfer and back-ups on weekly basis.
  • Prepare patient, obtain relevant information and provide necessary instructions and position the patient on the scan table.
  • Apply routine and advanced densitometry procedures as well as perform studies on small animals for research purposes.
  • Perform the quality control check ups regularly, such as phantom block total body and patient scans.
  • Retrieve scan results for returning patients and back up patient's scan as per unit's SOPs.
  • Analyze scans by following the established protocols.
