About The Position

Varney Agency is seeking a motivated Bonding Insurance Producer to help construction and commercial clients secure the surety bonds they need for projects and licensing. This role combines financial analysis, relationship-building, and strategic market placement with top surety companies.

Requirements

• Active Property & Casualty license
• Strong financial literacy, including reading balance sheets and construction financials
• Knowledge of construction contracts, common bond types and market appetites
• Excellent communication, public speaking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client financials, credit, and work-in-progress reports to determine bonding capacity
• Match clients with appropriate surety markets and prepare submissions
• Provide ongoing business and financial guidance to help clients increase bonding limits
• Generate new business through networking, prospecting, and industry events
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and surety underwriters
• Manage bond renewals, issue riders, and support clients through claims or disputes
