About The Position

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for specific Composite and Metallic test article and specimen fabrication, including vacuum bagging of samples for testing support or Engineering and Operation Production needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 1 years of experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • Have current vehicle driver’s license to enable use of electric lift, tow, and transportation golf cart type of equipment certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years or more in a composite manufacturing environment highly prefered.
  • Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • Experience with composite/metal bonding, bagging, and industry standards for fabrication.
  • Experience with fabricating tooling and tooling design.
  • Experience / ability to run and program ovens for curing.
  • Experience with aerospace level part fabrication.
  • Self-Motivated Team Player
  • Experience with NADCAP or customer audits
  • Ability to multitask and handles tasks with competing priorities effectively
  • Detail oriented and basic computer skills with experience with Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word
  • Familiarity with SAP application

Responsibilities

  • Works with minimum supervision using, drawings, process instructions, test plans or other written specifications to perform job duties.
  • Under direction of Team Leaders, responsible for meeting production, technical, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Support the Team Leaders in meeting business and department objectives.
  • Must be able to operate equipment within the assigned lab functions and perform hands on work. Training will be provided as needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and use of office productivities tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
