Amentum is seeking Boiler/Turbine Control Room Operator for our highly complex, critical environment, pharmaceutical powerhouse team in Groton, CT! To ensure 24/7 coverage, these positions will work 12-hour rotating shifts on the “Dupont Schedule”. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $38.00 -$40.00 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data. Utilities equipment includes but is not limited to: High Pressure Boilers, Steam/Gas Turbine Generators, Industrial Chillers including their related control systems and associated auxiliary equipment. As a Boiler/Turbine Operator you will be responsible for: Operating three duel fuel 600 psig industrial steam boilers, and associated site distribution via Delta V DCS system Operating a Gas Turbine and Waste Heat Recovery Steam Generator Power generation and distribution as well as parallel/islanding operation Distributing generated nitrogen as well as bulk delivery storage Managing return condensate/steam trap systems and ancillaries Making equipment rounds, testing chemistry, collecting data and making minor equipment repairs Acting as 1st response to alarm conditions including escalation where appropriate Taking corrective action for abnormal events or system failures Keeping logs and recording retention for systems including regulatory requirements maintaining system performance within permitted levels (air, water, basin discharge) Pursuing a continuous improvement process and training as required for further growth as a powerplant Operator
