To be considered for the position, a resume must be uploaded BOILER TECHNICIAN - Monitor pressure gauges, flow meters, thermometers and other measurement devices or equipment. Perform water sampling and treatment. - Adjust control to maintain specified settings such as temperature, steam pressure, air pressure, water pressure, etc. - Operate valves in order to control heat, steam, water, chemical flow and other mixes. - Install, maintain and repair electro-pneumatic valves and direct control devices related to boiler systems. - Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with specifications, as well as detect and locate malfunctions. - Check fluid levels on gearboxes, lubricate bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following stablished checklist. - Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches and schematics. - Recognize, diagnose and solve mechanical failures, determine corrective actions needed, check blueprints, manuals and parts catalog. - Perform timely repair and routine maintenance. - Preventive maintenance on equipment. - Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs. - Experience using power tools, saws, drills, impacts, grinder, etc. - Should be able to work on high heat and cold environments, heights, confined spaces. - Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time. - Perform pipe repairs. - Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
