About The Position

The Boiler Heat Exchange Lead is responsible for coordinating and performing the
maintenance, repair, and installation of boiler systems and heat exchangers. As
a working leader, this role involves guiding a team of technicians while
ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in boiler and heat exchanger systems.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to lead a team while maintaining a collaborative work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a leadership or senior technician role preferred.
• Technical certifications in boiler operation, welding, or HVAC are a plus.
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman in overseeing a team of welders, mechanics, and pipefitters.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure the team is aligned with project timelines.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the crew during the absence of the Foreman.
• Perform hands-on tasks such as boiler system inspections, heat exchanger maintenance, tube replacements, and leak repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in boilers and heat exchangers.
• Ensure proper installation of equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
• Conduct pre-task safety assessments and ensure team compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate with supervisors, contractors, and crew members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Relay updates, concerns, or needs to the Foreman or Project Manager.
• Coordinate the delivery and availability of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining records of completed tasks, materials used, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Support Foreman in preparing daily progress and safety reports.
