About The Position
The Shop Cleanup Technician (Porter) is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment inside and outside of the shop. This role supports technicians and office staff by ensuring the facility is presentable, equipment is maintained, and work areas remain hazard-free.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license (if moving vehicles is required)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and clean shop floors daily
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
- Remove scrap materials, parts, and debris from work areas
- Keep tool rooms and storage areas organized
- Clean restrooms, lobby, and office areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of parking lot and exterior areas
- Assist technicians with moving vehicles or equipment (if qualified)
- Monitor and restock shop supplies (paper towels, soap, etc.)
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
