Chapman Collision Center is looking for an experienced Parts Counterperson to contribute to our dynamic team! The Parts Counterperson plays a vital role in the vehicle repair process by ensuring technicians receive the required parts in a timely manner. This role oversees parts ordering, receiving and invoicing, and assists with inventory control. Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of body shop parts experience is required.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with CCC One estimating software and accurate data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical requirements include walking and standing for extended periods and lifting parts weighing 30+ lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Review repair estimates and check parts availability.
- Pull required parts from stock for technicians, verifying parts numbers and compatibility with vehicle make and model.
- Manage the parts ordering process: verify the accuracy of parts numbers on repair estimates, create and submitting orders, and receive orders into inventory.
- Track backordered parts and follow up with suppliers as needed.
- Keep estimators and technicians updated on parts order status, notifying them of any delays.
- Ensure accurate invoicing of parts on repair orders.
- Process exchanges and returns and manage credits.
- Contribute to shop production by receiving and dispersing parts in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Ensure parts labeled correctly and stored in designated locations.
