About The Position

Schroeder Truck Repair is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson to support our technicians and customers. This role is critical to keeping our shop running efficiently by ensuring the right parts are sourced quickly and accurately. If you have experience in heavy-duty or automotive truck parts, strong organizational skills, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Experience in heavy-duty truck, automotive, trailer, or diesel parts preferred
• Familiarity with brands like Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, Paccar , etc.
• Ability to read parts diagrams and use lookup systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians by sourcing and ordering correct parts in a timely manner
• Work the parts counter and assist walk-in and phone customers
• Identify parts using VIN, engine serial numbers, and diagrams
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts orders
• Process returns, core credits, and warranty parts
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for pricing and availability
• Keep work area clean and organized
