About The Position

At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we’re hiring an Auto Body Estimator II. This role provides estimation services for an assigned auction area or areas, focusing on accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail, and mechanic services. The Estimator communicates these estimates to various teams to initiate work, collaborates with procurement for accurate pricing of parts, and monitors repair status, completion timelines, transportation, and customer communications. The position also involves maintaining records of repair details and completing necessary paperwork, while visibly demonstrating a commitment to safety and actively participating in safety activities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field; or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides estimation services for an assigned auction area or areas.
  • Provides accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail and mechanic services.
  • Communicates estimates to maintenance, reconditioning and other teams as required to initiate work.
  • Works with procurement / purchasing staff to ensure accurate pricing of parts and supplies required by estimates.
  • Monitors repair status, completion timelines, transportation and customer communications related to approved reconditioning estimates.
  • Keeps records of repair / reconditioning details and completes necessary paperwork.
  • Visibly demonstrates safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participates in and support all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence
