About The Position

Lupient KIA of Brooklyn Park is looking to add a full-time Body Shop Estimator/Assistant Manager to join our team at our brand new state-of-the-art service center! The Body Shop Estimator/Assistant Manager plays a critical role in ensuring accurate damage assessments and cost estimations for vehicle repairs, directly impacting customer satisfaction and shop profitability. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in automotive repair estimation and strong leadership capabilities to support daily operations and team coordination. The individual will collaborate closely with insurance companies, customers, and technicians to facilitate smooth repair processes and timely project completion. Additionally, the role involves assisting the shop manager in administrative duties, workflow management, and maintaining quality control standards. Ultimately, this position is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and contributing to the overall success of the body shop.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair or estimating preferred.
  • Proven experience as a body shop estimator or in a similar automotive repair estimation role.
  • Proficiency with automotive estimating software
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, parts, and labor times.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, insurance representatives, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough vehicle damage assessments and prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians to clarify repair needs, costs, and timelines.
  • Assist the shop manager in overseeing daily operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the repair process.
  • Support inventory management by tracking parts orders and coordinating with suppliers to minimize delays.
  • Train and mentor junior estimators and staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on job progress, cost analysis, and operational metrics for management review.
