About The Position

The Company Friedman Vartolo LLP is a rapidly growing New York based real estate and default services law firm with 300+ employees across six states. The Position The Boarding Paralegal will be responsible for managing the initial stages of foreclosure and bankruptcy cases, including data input, document review, and file management. This role involves ensuring that loan data is accurately entered into CaseAware and other systems, processing status changes, and managing incoming mail. Experience with BKFS/Tempo and a background in both foreclosure and bankruptcy is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred but relevant experience in the industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in default services, with experience in both foreclosure and bankruptcy preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in CaseAware and familiarity with BKFS/Tempo is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and establish new case files and ensure proper organization and categorization of all associated documents.
• Review loan documents received to verify completeness and determine if additional documents are required.
• Input client and case information in the firm's case management system, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Process and update file status changes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Categorize and process incoming mail related to foreclosure and bankruptcy cases.
