About The Position

Salem Media Group Minneapolis has an immediate opening for a Board Operator for our four station cluster – and we want you on our team! Why This Role Rocks: Flexible Schedule: Work ~10–15 hours per week, 2-3 days a week — perfect for students, creatives, retired ham operators or anyone who loves broadcast / video operations. Hands-On Experience: From live board engineering to voice tracking, you’ll get your hands on real equipment and develop your on-air chops. Extra Perks: Additional opportunities for production work, audio editing, and more — all while learning from seasoned radio pros.

Requirements

Strong experience with Windows-based computer systems.
Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekends — radio never sleeps, and neither do we.
Proven track record of reliability, attention to detail, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Produce live and recorded radio and video programs and podcasts
Deliver live on-air weather updates with confidence.
Record voice tracks for other programming
Operate and engineer the live broadcast boards, keeping shows smooth and professional.
Execute station formats to keep our listeners engaged.
Maintain accurate program logs, edit live spots, and handle various production and commercial audio tasks.
