Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to community health, social justice, or related fields
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to dedicate time for meetings, events, and organizational activities
Nice To Haves
- Experience in nonprofit governance, healthcare, or related sectors is preferred
- Knowledge of the Chicago community and its health needs is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and governance to support the organization’s mission and goals
- Participate actively in board meetings, committees, and organizational planning
- Advocate for the health needs of the community and promote awareness of the center’s services
- Assist in fundraising efforts and resource development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards
- Support organizational growth through community engagement and partnership development
