Board Member, STEM From Dance

STEM From DanceNew York, NY

About The Position

For over a decade, STEM From Dance (SFD) has been committed to unlocking the creativity, confidence, and potential of future innovators through the transformative power of dance. By blending STEM with creative expression, we spark curiosity, build technical skills, and open doors to careers that fuel America’s innovation economy. Our mission is to ignite creativity and confidence in young people, especially those who are often overlooked in traditional STEM pathways, and equip them with the skills to thrive. Through clubs, pop-ups, camps, and other programs like SFD Connect, students discover what’s possible when technology and creativity meet, developing into the problem-solvers and leaders our economy needs. Our vision is bold: to impact one million students and build a future where innovation flows from every community, where the brightest minds from every background help solve our greatest challenges, and where our economy thrives on the full spectrum of human creativity and ingenuity. Built on a strong mission, a strategic growth plan, and unwavering core values, STEM From Dance is poised to change the face of STEM. As we take the next step in this journey, we are seeking dynamic and visionary leaders to serve on our Board of Directors, leaders who believe in the power of creativity to expand opportunity, strengthen our economy, and shape a more inclusive future. Board members are not only advisors; they are champions of our mission and stewards of our long-term success. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance, ensure strong governance, and mobilize resources to advance SFD’s impact. You will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise, networks, and leadership to address America’s STEM talent shortage, strengthen our innovation economy, and empower the next generation of innovators.
