About The Position

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, is seeking a BMG Customer Service Representative to service customers and PrimeSource distribution centers in the Corporate Office in Irving, TX. This job position is to assist the BMG Field Team in effectively managing a geographic region of the country in selling building material commodities to our top tiered customers.

Responsibilities

  • Take calls from specific geographically assigned customers for Building Material Group (BMG). The CSR is the inside sales contact for the BMG Field Team.
  • Take orders for truckload shipments of () BMG Products
  • Place orders for BMG products with vendors and confirm proper shipping methods, shipping status, and confirming proper pricing levels for that market.
  • Maintaining individual customer pricing channels for BMG products.
  • Deliver correct and precise order information to order entry and maintain communication with our credit department to insure that proper credit procedures are being implemented and followed.
  • Providing our customers with accurate pricing for all vendors the customer elects to buy from.
  • Matching vendor invoices with customer orders for accuracy. These orders are then sent to our billing department for accurate invoicing to the customer.
  • Handling all customer field level problems that relate to shipment shortages, pricing discrepancies, and vendor inventory levels.
  • Primary customer communication channel for price increase, allocation of commodity items, and general market information.
  • Solicitation to all BMG customers selling BMG direct truck loads.
  • Primary vendor contact to maintain proper market pricing.
  • Secures shipments during allocation of product and tracks those shipments.
  • Communicates market intelligence from the vendor and customer to the BMG Field Team.
  • The primary contact point for customer quotations.
  • Maintains accurate market pricing that is delivered to all inside and outside field sellers.
  • Communication channel for all market intelligence and vendor relations.
  • The CSR will develop and maintain a list of customers that they are responsible for generating sales of specific product categories
  • Research accounts that have been non-active based on dales database and input form the BMG Field Team.
  • Systematically list these accounts so that they can be entered into a sales tracking report
  • Develop sales platforms with these accounts and attain a consistent rapport and product category repeat sales cycle.
  • Builds and maintains customers relationships.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions.
  • Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Solicits new business as outlined by the BMG Field Team.
  • Travels to and attends trade shows, as scheduling permits.
