Job Summary: The Blow Molder is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of blow molding equipment used to produce plastic bottles for beverage packaging. This role performs machine set-ups, routine adjustments, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure bottle specifications and production targets are met. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and experienced in operating high-speed manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of experience operating blow molding or similar packaging equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with bottle manufacturing and PET/HDPE materials a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret production documentation and machine settings
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold, hot, or fast-paced production and warehouse environments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with bottle manufacturing and PET/HDPE materials a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor blow molding machines to ensure efficient bottle production
  • Perform pre-startup checks and equipment changeovers for different bottle types and sizes
  • Conduct in-process quality checks including visual inspections, weight, and dimensional verification
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance and reduce waste
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and escalate issues as needed
  • Monitor raw material supply (e.g., preforms, regrind) and replenish as necessary
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain mold components and related equipment
  • Accurately complete production documentation and quality records
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve production issues
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting
  • Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives.
