About The Position

Cloverland Farms Dairy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Blow Mold Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our blow molding production department. The successful candidate will provide professional and positive leadership, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture within a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing a team of operators, ensuring product quality and safety, troubleshooting machinery, and implementing process improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a plastics blow molding manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of blow molding processes and machinery.
• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role with exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production to ensure efficiency and alignment with established schedules and organizational objectives.
• Utilize data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to analyze production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive initiatives focused on efficiency, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
• Adjust production schedules and priorities as necessary in response to equipment failures or operational issues.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and production records to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
• Provide daily report based on KPI's and current inventory levels so effective planning can be accomplished.
• Hire, train, supervise, and mentor a team of blow molding operators and debaggers to foster a highly skilled, productive, and accountable workforce.
• Lead and manage the production team, providing regular feedback, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring clear communication.
• Foster a culture of accountability and professional growth among team members.
• Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures, ensuring that all products meet established specifications and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to address product defects and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) and other relevant regulations, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Serve as the technical authority for all blow molding processes, providing expert troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and prioritize machine repair requests with the maintenance department, working proactively to address production hindrances.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Implement lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies to drive continuous improvement activities throughout the department.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process, making recommendations for new equipment purchases and coordinating installations to support strategic goals.
