About The Position

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a Junior Blood Bank Analyst to support a federal agency. This early-career role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in transfusion medicine, blood bank operations, or clinical laboratory support. The analyst will assist senior subject matter experts and program staff in evaluating blood program processes, supporting documentation, and contributing to clinical and operational initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in blood bank, transfusion services, clinical laboratory, or related healthcare setting
• Foundational knowledge of transfusion medicine/immunohematology principles
• Familiarity with blood typing, compatibility testing, or specimen handling
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to support documentation, reporting, and data review
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS/MLS/MT) education or certification track
• Experience supporting military, DoD, or federal healthcare programs
• Exposure to AABB standards or blood bank regulatory frameworks
• Experience with healthcare data analysis or dashboards
• Familiarity with DHA / MHS environments

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of blood bank and transfusion service operations
• Assist with review of blood typing, crossmatching, and compatibility testing workflows
• Contribute to assessments of blood supply chain processes (collection, processing, storage, distribution)
• Prepare and maintain reports, briefings, and program documentation
• Support data collection, validation, and basic trend analysis
• Coordinate with clinical, laboratory, and program stakeholders
• Assist with development and updates of SOPs, checklists, and reference materials
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines
• Provide administrative and analytical support to senior consultants/SMEs
