About The Position

Food Production - Block Grinder Opr PR02 - Full-Time Starting pay: $18.45/HR This position is responsible for operating machinery includes ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: Team Members with 4 attendance points or more (2 points or more under probation) will not be considered.
• You must not have received a written warning within the last 12 months.
• Applicant must currently be forklift certified or able to get certified.
• Must be willing and able to read and write.
• Computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to solve simple math.
• Must be willing and able to operate a forklift & Pallet Jacks.
• Lock out Training is required.
• Must be willing and able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and lift heavy items.
• Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
• Must be willing and able to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• Must be willing and able to climb step ladders and or stairs.
• Must be willing and able to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be willing and able to work in cold and damp environment.
• Must be willing and able to perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Required to operate touch illustrated operating panel, safeties, and switches
• Will be required to operate Fresh & Frozen grinder
• Open boxes and distribute frozen meat to grinder & conduct metal checks and documentation of area usage.
• Small mechanical adjustments
• Use handheld scanner
• Visually inspect product for any deficiencies
• Required to set up and tear down area at the beginning and end of processing
• Must be willing and able to visually inspect product for any deficiencies
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
• Must be willing and able to work with different spices.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
• Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
• May use SAP if transferred /rotated
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to read and write.
