About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Blender/Granulation Operator produces dry powder blends and granulated materials in accordance with established specifications and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs). This role involves operating blending and granulation equipment in compliance with SOPs, GMP, safety requirements, and BMRs, ensuring product quality, accurate documentation, required sampling, and proper sanitation of equipment and work areas.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on cleanliness, safety, accurate documentation, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use calculator and other measurement instruments.
  • Basic computer skills a plus
  • Flexibility for overtime when needed
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely
  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours
  • We are drug free workplace, regulated by the FDA, required to follow Federal Guidelines; therefore in order to start as well as maintain employment, you must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, weigh, load, and add raw materials in the correct sequence according to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
  • Operate and monitor blending and granulation equipment following appropriate SOPs.
  • Perform in-process quality checks, collect samples, and accurately document results in BMRs.
  • Discharge blended or granulated materials into specified poly-lined containers and ensure proper labeling per BMR requirements.
  • Receive, dispense, transfer, store, and inspect materials, blends, and labels in accordance with procedures and BMRs.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, including disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and set ups.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; follow GMP’s, safety guidelines, and required PPE protocols.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
