About The Position

Blender - Forsyth, MO SUMMARY: Prepare different formulas in order to manufacture nutritional supplements. There will be opportunities for cross-training in the Encapsulation Department, Tableting Department, and the Packaging Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of this position at any time. Consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this role. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist Blending Team Lead. Read and comprehend Blending Bill of Material Sheets. Properly read and comprehend raw ingredient names and lot numbers. Properly weigh and document batch and lot numbers from raw material onto Bill of Material Sheets. Properly prepare and clean barrels for use in Blending. Operate and read floor and table top scales. Charge and discharge powder from 60V and 20V mixers. Clean the Blending room and all machines and utensils associated with the Blending area. Support production in maintaining the cleanliness of the production rooms as needed. Properly clean and prepare machines for the next formula of powder. Remove, clean and reinstall proper change parts on production equipment to expedite subsequent operations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure proper PPE is utilized. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE : High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills are necessary. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardization situations. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. Must be able to multi-task and work at a fast pace. Must understand and conform to all safety guidelines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. When loading the barrels for mixing, the employee is required to load up to 480 pounds for the 60V Mixer and up to 160 pounds for the 20V Mixer. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
