Main tasks include operation of blast equipment, cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint/shipping, as well as operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic discipline aptitude/attitude
- Must be able to pass Blueprint Reading course (provided by Voith)
Responsibilities
- Employee is responsible for operation of blast equipment to blast parts clean for NDE inspection and for surface preparation for paint application.
- Blast operators are also responsible for cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint according to engineering drawings.
- Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, operation of forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 15 Tons), prepping parts for shipment, and maintaining general cleanliness of work areas.
