About The Position

Join our 2k Downstream team on the Day Shift (7 AM – 7 PM). In this role, you will be a key contributor to the purification process, transforming raw cell culture into life-saving medicine through advanced filtration and chromatography techniques. What you will do Downstream Operations: Set up and operate purification equipment, including large-scale chromatography columns and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UFDF) systems. Purification Execution: Execute precise process recipes to isolate and purify proteins, ensuring the final product meets strict customer specifications. Sterility & Maintenance: Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) operations for all downstream vessels and flow paths to ensure a sterile production environment. Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve routine equipment and process variances, escalating complex issues to shift leadership as needed. Mentorship: As a Level II professional, provide guidance and foundational training to early-career associates on the shift. Quality & Compliance: Review batch records and logbooks in real-time, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensuring all activities meet cGMP standards. Material Management: Coordinate the transfer and preparation of buffers and chemicals required for the purification process. What we are looking for Experience Levels: While we are specifically seeking a Level II professional with 1–3 years of biotech experience, we will entertain all levels of experience. We encourage both foundational candidates and advanced professionals to apply. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred. Technical Skillset: Familiarity with protein purification, filtration, or chromatography is a plus, but a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn are essential. Detail-Oriented: A commitment to following complex written instructions and maintaining meticulous records. Schedule: Ability to work the 7 AM – 7 PM rotational day shift in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. Requirements
