The intern will work closely with an experienced Biostatistician to participate in statistical research related to analytical or clinical development, or post-marketing of oncology screening, diagnostic, or therapy selection products. The individual will collaborate with internal team members in the design, statistical analysis, reporting, and potential publication of one or more clinical research studies.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program in Statistics or Biostatistics.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methodologies and perform analysis of non-clinical or clinical study data and present results to a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of a wide variety of principles, theories and concepts in statistics and experimental design; must be able to apply them to the development and analysis of studies specific to molecular diagnostics
  • Summarize the work for future departmental use and potentially produce a peer-reviewed publication
  • Attend seminars and other department activities to enhance the understanding of daily work of biostatisticians
  • Conduct analyses using SAS and/or R
  • Apply basic statistical methodology learned in an academic setting to a real-world industry setting
  • Display strong communication skills with the ability to interpret results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exercise strong organizational skills with an emphasis on reproducibility and traceability of project work and program files

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work designated schedule.
