About The Position

The primary assignment for the Biometric Specialist will be to monitor offenders placed on low-level supervision, utilizing telecommunication services. This role assists Probation Officers in the supervision, surveillance, and investigation of an assigned caseload of adult offenders who are on probation or parole. This is a 100% remote position.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work with electronic monitoring services, preferably with telephone reporting systems
  • Communication skills must reflect ability to speak and write effectively
  • Some knowledge of surveillance techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain logs and document discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to appear in court or before the Parole Board to present testimony
  • Demonstrated skills in gathering information
  • Demonstrated skills in interviewing

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CORIS, Shadowtrack, ICOTS and court information systems
