Job Summary: Under direction of the Manager, Biomedical Engineering, directs daily operations of assigned location. Provides safe and properly functioning clinical equipment systems and electronic instrumentation in a cost-effective manner. Maintains accurate inventory and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Required Experience: Minimum of seven years’ experience in the Biomedical field with demonstrated knowledge of specialty, life-support, and non-life support equipment. Proven organization and interpersonal skills.
- Required Education: High School Diploma/equivalent.
- Training/Certification /Licensure: Valid driver’s license required for travel between sites
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspects, trouble-shoots and repairs clinical equipment systems and electronic equipment.
- Completes work orders and documents completion of work orders and outcomes.
- Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
- Sits on various local committees including, but not limited to, EOC committee.
- Attends training as needed.
- Responsible for installation and inventory of biomedical equipment
- Processes equipment recall and alerts according to procedures
- Coordinates project onset, implementation and debriefing for ongoing process improvements
- Performs other duties as assigned.
