Job Summary: Under direction of the Manager, Biomedical Engineering, directs daily operations of assigned location. Provides safe and properly functioning clinical equipment systems and electronic instrumentation in a cost-effective manner. Maintains accurate inventory and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Required Experience: Minimum of seven years’ experience in the Biomedical field with demonstrated knowledge of specialty, life-support, and non-life support equipment. Proven organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Required Education: High School Diploma/equivalent.
  • Training/Certification /Licensure: Valid driver’s license required for travel between sites

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, trouble-shoots and repairs clinical equipment systems and electronic equipment.
  • Completes work orders and documents completion of work orders and outcomes.
  • Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
  • Sits on various local committees including, but not limited to, EOC committee.
  • Attends training as needed.
  • Responsible for installation and inventory of biomedical equipment
  • Processes equipment recall and alerts according to procedures
  • Coordinates project onset, implementation and debriefing for ongoing process improvements
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
