About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Biomed Team Lead to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for leading the refurbishment, repair and distribution activities of the Biomed Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
  • Frequent bending, stooping and kneeling
  • Frequent twisting, pulling and reaching
  • Lifting minimum is 50lbs
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, preferred
  • Experience in medical field and administrative record management, preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Strong customer service background, preferred
  • Three years of supervisory experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Biomed Supervisor and Manager
  • Build effective working relationships across teams
  • Coach, motivate, and support team members; promote a positive work environment
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, vendors, and departments
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
  • Identify issues, recommend solutions, and communicate action plans
  • Identify training needs and support performance development plans
  • Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and required certifications
  • Monitor workload and employee performance; report to supervisor
  • Operate, clean, and maintain test equipment
  • Provide product/service support and answer questions
  • Suggest process and efficiency improvements
  • Support supervisors with team initiatives and problem-solving
  • Performs other duties as assigned
