About The Position

The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering Technologist (MSET I) performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices/networks/software used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual. Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Works under direct supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).

Requirements

  • One to three years of minimum HTM or IT experience required.
  • Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products
  • Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Travel will be required periodically
  • Associates Degree or 2 year Technical Degree Required

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of HTM or IT experience preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare technology management programs preferred.
  • Professional Certification preferred (CABT and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director obtain within 18 month of hire)
  • Medical equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Professional Certification preferred (CABT and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director obtain within 18 month of hire)
