About The Position

Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have UHS relationships either owned or contractual. Ensures that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Works independently with minimal supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Executes and meets all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience minimum required, 3-5 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience with healthcare technology management programs
  • Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc.)
  • Must possess skill-set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
  • Strong/advanced computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products
  • Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Travel will be required periodically
  • ACI Certification Required (CABT. CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM). Effective January 11, 2018, new hires must obtain ACI certification within 18 months of date of hire and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
