Description: We are looking for a driven and team-oriented Associate Scientist to join our Immunology Discovery group in Boston. In this role, you will help uncover and validate new therapeutic targets by combining in vivo models, cellular assays, molecular approaches, and immunological expertise to advance early discovery research. You will play a vital role in developing treatments for autoimmune and inflammatory disease patients by designing and conducting in vivo experiments, running in vitro assays, analyzing results, and collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, industry, or academic research in the field of immunology
  • Master of Science in Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical industry, or academic research in the field of immunology

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with in vivo models, using mice, such as animal handling, dosing, and tissue collection.
  • Experience with wet lab techniques such as micropipetting
  • Adept at practical mathematics for lab applications and metric unit conversion
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized for working in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Efficient, accurate, and effective recordkeeping skills for laboratory notebook entries
  • Proficient at using spreadsheet programs such as Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Committed to work collaboratively as a team member using effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with human PBMC preparation and assays, and whole-blood–based systems
  • Experience with flow cytometry sample preparations and acquisition
  • Experience in cell culture and molecular biology methods (such as DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, and Western blotting)
  • Strong background in data analysis using FlowJo, GraphPad Prism
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
