Bioinformatics Summer Intern 2026

CareDx, Inc.Brisbane, CA
1d$25 - $30

About The Position

CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients. The Bioinformatics Summer Intern will join CareDx’s Research & Development organization and contribute to real‐world, data‐driven projects supporting precision medicine and transplant care. This internship offers hands‐on experience working with high‐dimensional biological data, modern computational workflows, and cross‐functional scientific teams. Interns will work closely with experienced bioinformatics scientists and collaborators to analyze genomic data, develop scalable analysis workflows, and help translate scientific insights into clinically meaningful outcomes. This role is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and is designed to support learning, mentorship, and professional growth. Key Project Project Focus: Enhancing Commercial Diagnostics Through Alternative Assay Signal Integration What You’ll Work On: Identify biologically relevant signals from an alternative assay technology Develop a scalable and repeatable workflow to support future integration into CareDx diagnostic products Why This Matters: CareDx’s diagnostic products are widely used in transplant monitoring. However, certain clinical stratifications and complications require complementary insights from additional technologies. This project explores new data sources to enhance diagnostic performance and patient care. Project Outcomes: Identification of potential novel biomarkers Documentation of a discovery and analysis workflow Final written summary and presentation to the Research & Development organization
