About The Position

We are searching for a Bioinformatics Scientist to provide support services to satisfy the overall objectives of the National Institute of Aging. This is a full-time opportunity located in Baltimore, MD. Provide programming, data processing, and troubleshooting support for human population-based studies involving omics, clinical, phenotype, and wearable/sensor data. Perform computational analyses using established bioinformatics and statistical methods for multi-omics and wearable datasets and integrate them into epidemiological research. Process raw data, including quality control, alignment, quantification, normalization, and generation of analysis-ready datasets. Provide large-scale genome-wide DNA and protein sequence analysis. Assist with development and maintenance of Oracle database for genomics and proteomics projects in the Translational Gerontology Branch (TGB).

Requirements

Master’s Degree
A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience working in bioinformatics, biomedical or clinical research, or related science field.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with NIH preferred.
