About The Position

We are searching for a Bioinformatics Scientist to provide support services to satisfy the overall objectives of the National Institute of Aging. This is a full-time opportunity located in Baltimore, MD. Provide programming, data processing, and troubleshooting support for human population-based studies involving omics, clinical, phenotype, and wearable/sensor data. Perform computational analyses using established bioinformatics and statistical methods for multi-omics and wearable datasets and integrate them into epidemiological research. Process raw data, including quality control, alignment, quantification, normalization, and generation of analysis-ready datasets. Provide large-scale genome-wide DNA and protein sequence analysis. Assist with development and maintenance of Oracle database for genomics and proteomics projects in the Translational Gerontology Branch (TGB).

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience working in bioinformatics, biomedical or clinical research, or related science field.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with NIH preferred.
