About The Position

The Cruchaga Lab in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Bioinformatics Research Assistant to participate in developing and conducting research projects, participating in experiment design and documentation of experimental results, and computational data analysis. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Assists research studies with implementation of: existing algorithms and computer software for analyzing omics-based data sets [high-throughput, massively parallel genomic/proteomic/clinical.]; data management and analysis solutions that assist in storage, investigation and dissemination of large data sets. Works with research team to develop new algorithms to support studies. Participates in developing hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing it, and conducts research experiments. Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory conditions. Assists with reporting and evaluating research results, reports findings and discusses project outcomes. Performs research on specified topics. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
